Great Location & Clean

Stayed (solo) here for my last 3 nights on holiday in Morocco. Having stayed in Marrakesh, Essaouira & Agadir on holiday with family. The room was spacious, clean, and loved the traditional decor. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and a great location in Gueliz.

All was excellent at this price point except shower room is bijou and no extractor fan.

The property was very, very nice.

After I got the room that I had reserved online because of the pictures, it was great. The lady at the front desk seemed inconvenienced by my early arrival. I knew I was early, I told her I knew I was early. I also told her I'd be happy to wait for my room if I could just leave my luggage until check in time. She said ok, then suddenly said she could give me my room. The room she gave me looked nothing like the online photos - while acceptable had that been what I reserved, it was very downgraded from what I did reserve. I told her again I'd be happy to wait for what I reserved and paid for. She seemed insulted when I should have been the one insulted by her thinking she could pass off a downgraded room to me. When I needed to leave the morning of check out, around 6:30am (a resonable check out time), there was no one at the front desk and the front door was locked. I had to wake the guy snoring on the couch in the lobby up in order to get out and to the train on time. Awful? No. Inconvenient and awkward? Yes.

Good hotel in Marrakesh

Location is Top and nearby city center and Guliz area. Good breakfast with a lot of varieties. Very polite and helpful staff Give you the vibes of how it looks like staying in a Riyad. Calm

Very cold inside the rooms and AC is not doing the job. Very small bathroom with water accumulating in the shower area (seems a common problem). Almost no facilties in the room apart from TV.

They used an app to translate in English due language barrier. We didn't know French or Arabic.

There was no good handover between staff. For example we ordered coffee four times and we paid but on our departure we were told that, we didn't pay for the two coffee because it was not ticked in their records. This is because we were not given receipts when we paid for our coffee. Secondly as we were leaving we were asked to pay 250 dilam for a stained duvet from the food we ordered. We felt unfair to demand money to clean a duvet cover. Lastly the room was cold in the night.

A good place in Gueliz, though could benefit from some improvements

Very comfortable bed, large room, good AC, convenient location with Starbucks on the corner and the local bus over the road that takes you to Jemaa El Fna. Lovely swimming pool.

Poor breakfast. The coffee is not good. There is delicious fresh wholemeal bread in Morocco...why not in the breakfast buffet? All we need is good bread, proper jam, a boiled egg and yoghurt...and good coffee. How about a kettle and mugs in the room so we can make our own? No lift to the second floor. I have arthritis and struggled with the stairs, although the porter helped with my suitcase. Staff could be a bit more welcoming and friendly. You should offer information and help when guests check in. How about the WiFi code on a slip of paper? No hot water in the shower

I liked that the hotel was close to many stores and restaurants, so it was easy to walk and I felt safe. The kitchen staff were friendly and helpful.

The shower did not have proper drainage and would overflow the bathroom. It would be better if every room had a fridge. Also, the meal options were limited.

Great location, room average

The location was excellent for me, walking distance to many places. Staff were friendly.

Room was hot, air-conditioning was very poor. The shower room and toilets shared same ceiling as room and this made room very hot after a shower each day.

Nice hotel, employees are very friendly and very helpful. So comfortable clean, and good location, easy to found it as well as secure area you can go out at night. Just small comment about the breakfast is better to work just a little bit on it and everything is going be perfect.

Most of the staff were attentive except the female receptionist named Titima. She is not very friendly and very unreliable. The day prior to check out I informed her that I needed to finalize my account because I had an early check out. After waiting a while for my print out. She said that I would get it later. However upon my exit I was informed by her colleague that she had not done it. Therefore I checked out without getting a receipt. I was then told that I would get it in my email however as of this writing I still haven't received it. Titima the Cook and Ibra were exceptional. They surely add value to my experiences. Without that added fact my stay would have been undesirable.

The bathroom drainage is horrible. The water flooded the floor daily. The towels were dinghy and coarse. I spent 9 days and my linens were not changed. One toilet paper was given at a time therefore if it ran out during the night you are in trouble. The breakfast and dinner was undesirable. There was no uniformity in the information given from the staff.

This hotel was a wonderful surprise, after reading mixed reviews and booking last minute due to another hotel attempting to scam us, I was worried to take my clients. How wrong was I! This hotel is a gem in a fabulous location for a good price. I travel every month and it is one of the cleanest hotel I have been to, thanks to all the lovely cleaning ladies who are always welcoming and smiley. Please be aware that if you wish your room cleaned, you need to leave your key at reception. - The pool is small but does the job, very few people use it and I had it just for myself most afternoon when it is hot, the yard is mostly in the shade and when it isn't, they open the large umbrellas. - The breakfast is really tasty, although not much choice, a few things changed everyday. All the food was so fresh. -It has been renovated so it mixes the traditional and the modern. - The street is quiet and right besides the shopping centre. - Most staff are very friendly, receptionists, cleaners, the man working at the breakfast and around the pool. They are nice enough and not fake friendly, thanks to that as I cannot stand fakeness. Some seemed quiet but at the end of the Ramadan it is understandable as they do not eat for over 12 hours per day in the heat, I would be extremely grumpy if I couldn't eat for 5 hours. - They speak French, English and Arabic - There are several types of rooms, mine was 17 behind reception and although I could hear the reception phone and the people in the long chairs outside my window, I had earplugs, my clients rooms were nice and quiet. My room was traditional with an open bathroom but was a single room, my clients were a couple, they had a modern room and a closing bathroom. - No bedbugs as certain state, a couple of flies entered throught the open window but that is about it. - The rooms are cool and the Aircon is fabulous.

- The coffee was far too light but they had a jar of instant coffee next to the coffee pot to make it stronger so it was fine. - Room 17 can be noisy as the reception is just behind and the pool and long chairs right outside the window. - Adding a small fridge to the rooms might be a good plus to the hotel.
